    Started and played for about five minutes in headless Chrome on macOS at 1280 x 720 with the mouse: skipped the tutorial, bought upgrades, held to wave 3 until the castle fell, earned crowns and started a second defence. Played in the game's own frame from the itch.io page.

About this game

Your castle stands in the middle of a meadow, and enemies march in from tents all around it. The castle shoots on its own; every enemy it brings down drops gold, and you spend that gold in a side panel on upgrades such as sharper arrows, quicker archers, higher walls and volleys, or on towers: archers, a cannon and a frost tower that slows enemies. When the castle finally falls, you earn crowns to spend in a skill tree, and the next defence starts stronger.

You play with the mouse: a short tutorial explains the castle and the waves, and can be skipped. The developer's page describes 50 waves with a story turn at wave 50, a second act, 23 achievements and an endless mode after the ending, and lists five languages: English, Polish, German, French and Spanish.

It is made by Thornido, with art credited to Tinypot, and marked as still in development and made without generative AI. The same page offers Windows and Linux downloads at a price you choose; HeapPlay checked the browser version only.
