About this game

ArtCat: Cozy Pixel Studio is a calm painting game. You are a cat in a beret who runs a small art studio, and animal clients come through the door to order little pixel pictures: a pine cone for a fox, two cherries for a mouse. There are no timers and you cannot fail.

Each order shows the picture asked for beside an empty grid on the easel, with exactly the paints it needs. You pick a colour and click or drag across the cells to fill them; an eraser and an undo button fix mistakes. When you hand the picture in, the client gives up to three stars, pays in ducats according to how many cells match, and shows both pictures side by side with the differences marked. Ducats buy furniture for the studio, which brings better pay and new clients, and larger canvases open up as the days go by.

A new game starts with a choice of Easy, Normal or Hard: Easy keeps the canvases small and shows dots where each colour still goes, Hard gives only large canvases and no hints. It is played with the mouse. It is made by one developer, Kisiou, and is still in development; HeapPlay played version 0.15.

The developer says the game also runs on phones and tablets and offers several languages; HeapPlay checked it on a desktop computer only, in English.
