About

KittenGalaxy is an arcade shooter in pixel art. You steer a starship along the bottom of the screen, shoot down waves of invaders, and hit the cats that fly past for bonus points: chain them and the bonus multiplies.

Every point you score is also experience you can spend. Pause at any moment to open the shop, upgrade your ship, and save. Every fifth wave ends in a boss fight.

Now and then the action freezes and a professor asks an arithmetic question. A right answer sends a storm of numbers through the invaders; a wrong one sets the unsolved problem loose on you. The questions adapt to how well each pilot is doing.

The game has two campaigns of twenty waves: first in space, then down on the planet. Up to eight pilots can share one browser, each with their own name, best score and save, so a family or a class can take turns. Progress is saved in the browser at the start of every wave; nothing is sent anywhere and no account is needed.
