    Started from the itch.io page ("Run game") and played for about five minutes in headless Chrome on macOS at 1280 x 720 with the mouse: chopped wood, switched to the bow and shot at the robot pigeons, and hid in the bush from a rain of arrows. The letter-changing part was not reached in this check.

About this game

Troll the King is a short comic game made for a game jam. Robots have taken everyone's jobs, so the hero, an archer in a green hat hiding in a forest between two castles, uses the free time to make trouble for the two kings. Each castle shows a percentage, and the goal is to bring both kings to their knees.

You switch between three jobs with the icons at the bottom of the screen. With the axe you chop wood to make paper, by clicking a target that jumps about on the tree trunks. With the bow you shoot at the robot pigeons that fly between the castles carrying letters. When a rain of arrows comes, you hide in the bush, or you lose the wood you have collected. According to the game's page, the letters you collect are then changed to annoy the kings. Everything is played with the mouse and its left button.

The game was made for Ludum Dare 60 by Sheepolution (code), Shores (art) and Lazarus Richardson (audio). It is in English, and changing the letters means reading. The itch.io page also offers downloads for Windows, macOS and Linux; only the browser version is listed here.
