    Started from the itch.io page and played the first room for several minutes, moving, using a terminal and restarting the loop so that a ghost replayed the moves, in headless Chrome on macOS at 1280 x 720 with the keyboard.

About this game

SOMEONE HAS TO STAY is a puzzle game set in a sealed research facility where the same stretch of time keeps repeating. Each room has pressure plates, doors and terminals, and many of them cannot be solved alone: a plate holds a door open only while someone stands on it.

When you restart the loop, a pale ghost repeats exactly what you did last time. So you record yourself standing on the plate, restart, and walk through while your ghost holds it. Later puzzles need two ghosts at once. You move with WASD or the arrow keys, use E to interact, R to restart the loop and Q to see where your past selves walked. The developer gives 10 to 20 minutes for a first run of the first chapter, with a second chapter announced; clear times are kept in your browser.

The game is by K_kom, in English and Korean, and runs on its itch.io page. HeapPlay checked it on a computer only: in a phone browser it did not get past the title screen.
