    Started with Run game on itch.io and played several runs in headless Chrome on macOS at 1280 x 720 with the keyboard: jumps and double jumps over the first world's ledges, a score of 28 and the end-of-run summary.

About this game

Spore Rift is a short endless platform game set among giant glowing mushrooms. Your character runs by itself, and you decide when to jump. Ledges float over an abyss; according to the game's own introduction, demons wait on them to be stomped from above and dragons fly in breathing fire. Falling into the gap ends the run.

You jump with Space, W or the up arrow and press again in mid-air for a double jump; holding the key jumps higher, and the down arrow or S makes you fall faster. P pauses. Spores floating above the ledges can be collected, and the game keeps your best score.

There are five worlds, each 200 metres long, from Glowcap Forest to Venom Marsh, linked by portals. After the fifth, the Rift starts again at a higher speed. When a run ends, a summary shows your score, the distance, the spores collected and the demons stomped.

It was made by The_Old_Tester and is free on itch.io. The developer's page says it also plays on phones by tapping the screen; that was not confirmed for this listing. The same page marks the game as made with AI help for its code, graphics, sounds and text.
