About this game

You play Mara Vey, a mapmaker searching jungle ruins for six stones left behind by a vanished people. The first world, the Jade Coast, is a chain of side-scrolling stages linked by a 3D map: you walk Mara from one marker to the next and pick a stage to play.

In each stage you run and jump from left to right, collect coins, keep clear of wild animals and look for three hidden idols. On the recommended difficulty you have a timer and five lives; an easier setting removes the timer and lets you retry without limit, and a harder one ends a life at the first touch.

On a computer it is played with the keyboard (arrow keys and Space). The developer says it also runs on phones and tablets with touch controls in landscape, and with a gamepad; HeapPlay checked it on a computer only. The site can also be installed as an app from the browser.
